This seminar is offered to any one writing NPPE (Professional practice examination conducted by professional Engineers Ontario or any other association as part of Licensing process to be licensed engineer (P.Eng/P.Geo). It is one day seminar

Course Description

NPPE consists of two parts -Ethics-Professional Practice and Law –Engineering Law and liability.  Engineering Law and liability  will be covered first followed by  Ethics-Professional Practice .

Candidates are expected to know and demonstrate understanding of all material listed in the NPPE syllabus as any of the topics listed could be tested to a greater or lesser extent in each exam.

I. Professionalism (7 – 10 questions)

I.1. Definition and Interpretation of Professionalism and Professional Status

The defining elements of a professional (the context is that of the self-regulating professions: engineers, geoscientists, doctors, lawyers, and such versus other occupations):

Course (Seminar) Learning Objectives

Participants will be learning (1) Engineering law and liability as relates to their professional career (2) Professional practice guidelines they will be required to adhere and aware of as a  Professional Engineer. It will prepare them for the NPPE adequately there by reducing the preparatory time significantly (which they have to spend on their own).
